Do you know your enemy? You may think that he/she is setting near you…you may think that your enemy stole your boyfriend/girlfriend, money, job, house, car, etc. Is He or she your enemy? I mean really your enemy? Why did Jesus tell us to love our enemy? Perhaps there is more to this whole enemy discussion than what we normally think about. Perhaps there is a human enemy that we should love and a spiritual enemy that we should loathe! Perhaps the church as allowed the world’s thinking to overtake the church’s thinking! Is it really possible to love our enemies? Did Jesus really mean what he said? If he didn’t then what did he mean? If he did, then why are so many people disobeying HIM? Do you know your enemy? What do you do with THE ENEMY AT CHURCH?

This morning I want to talk to you about LOVING GOD WITH VISION AND PURPOSE! God has given each of you a vision and purpose. It is up to you to discover God’s vision and purpose for your life! He has given the church a vision and purpose! Why is this important? Because LOVING GOD WITH VISION PURPOSE keeps us on the right path.

Jesus tells us three things in this passage. He tells us WHAT we are to do, WHO our first love is supposed to be…God, and HOW we are to love God. And here is what I have discovered…that when you understand the WHAT…the WHO…and the HOW…then you will understand the WHY! What is the greatest command? To love God
